With a 300-year winemaking heritage, we are artisans passionate about excellence and constant growth. At our estate, we combine tradition with innovation to continue perfecting every aspect of our family winery.

Our commitment is to offer exceptional wines that honor our legacy while looking to the future with enthusiasm, improving our estate, the land, the environment, and biodiversity.

At Pago Casa Gran, biodiversity is not just a goal, but an integral strategy that supports a vibrant, sustainable, and balanced ecosystem.

We cultivate self-sufficient soil enriched by the symbiosis between plants and fauna, creating high biodiversity areas with trees, dry stone walls, and compensation areas, where Mediterranean wildlife ensures ecological balance.

We work to reduce both energy and water consumption by using resources responsibly and sustainably.

From the precision of our work, wines are born that encapsulate the heritage of the terroir.

Respect for nature, biodiversity, organic viticulture, and artisanal winemaking combine to express a unique terroir and quality. Each decision and practice in our vineyards strives not only for oenological excellence but also for balance with the natural environment.

Our winemaking is artisanal, allowing each step of the process to reflect the unique character of our vineyards’ soil and climate. We have a winery designed for gravity flow, ensuring gentle and respectful handling of the grapes, preserving their integrity and quality.

Terres dels Alforins

Almost two decades ago, the vintners and winemakers of Terres dels Alforins, which encompasses the municipalities of La Font de la Figuera, Fontanars dels Alforins, and Moixent, joined forces to transform the future of their territory. This joint effort has enabled the protection and enhancement of the ecological value of the region. The initiative of the Societat de Viticultors i Productors de Terres dels Alforins is fundamental in the recovery of the historical legacy and its transformation into a cultural landscape. The practice of traditional and ecological agriculture, based on historical varieties, allows us to revive customs of the past with the support of modern knowledge and technologies. Pago Casa Gran, as a founding member, especially values the Association’s work in preserving the rich winemaking tradition of this iconic region.

The essence of our land

Single-varietals with a unique identity

Our single-variety wines reflect the native varieties of our land. Produced in limited quantities, each bottle embodies the dedication and care in selecting the most genuine and representative grapes, ensuring a unique and memorable experience.

The label of each wine features a unique symbol inspired by Iberian script, paying homage to the rich history of the region and the proximity of our estate to an ancient Iberian settlement. The choice of this symbol is not coincidental. With a touch of imagination, you will see that this design alludes to our concept of “single-varietal”: one (1) unique grape (0). This graphic representation encapsulates our philosophy of cultivating and vinifying a single grape variety, allowing each sip to express the purity and uniqueness of the terroir.

Falcata

The wine that honors Iberian history

Falcata is the name of a legendary Iberian sword used by the villages of the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) to fight the Romans around the 4th century BC. This sword was not only a formidable instrument of war but also a symbol of distinction. Craftsmen forged it to fit each warrior’s arm, making it a profoundly personal and non-transferable weapon. So precious was the falcata that, upon the warrior’s death, it was buried alongside him.

The Casa Gran estate is located to the south of the mountain called Bastida, on whose crest lies an ancient Iberian settlement. By choosing “Falcata” as the name for our wine, we not only pay tribute to the estate but also to the rich history and culture of the area.

The label of our wine features a falcata embedded in grass-covered soil, with a vibrantly colored local bird perched on it. This image evokes a connection between the past and the present, symbolizing the restoration of biodiversity on our estate.
